Blurb (brief description): Winner of one of the first prizes in a good practice contest organized by the ILO and featured on MTV. The project helps young people with disabilities step into the labour market and become agents of change.
Abstract: There are millions of young people struggling with a disability in Bangladesh. They are often excluded from the labour market and can constitute a great financial burden especially for low-income families. The project 'From Margin to Mainstream' targets those young individuals and provides them with a combination of vocational training, entrepreneurship training and business start-up funding in order for them to integrate the labour market.

This project is one of the three winners from the ILO's Call for Good Practices for youth employment, each of which proposed innovative solutions that helped disadvantaged youth boost self-esteem, acquire employable skills and get a foothold in the labour market.
