| Abstract: |
The Apprenticeships, Children, Skills and Learning Act published in 2009 guarantees all suitably qualified young people an entitlement to an apprenticeship place. The Act also set out details of the Specification of
Apprenticeship Standards for England (SASE) which outlines the minimum
requirements to be included in a recognised English Apprenticeship framework.
Compliance with the SASE is a statutory requirement of the Apprenticeships,
Skills, Children and Learning Act. The new rules set, for the first time, a
set of minimum duration of 12 months for apprenticeships to help improve the
relevance of the training.
